Kimble Allotment Society Ltd
A working community allotment in the Buckinghamshire Chilterns, owned by its members since 1921 and tended by hand, season after season.
About the Society
The allotments were bought outright in 1921, with members holding shares in the company that owns the land. Rents stay low, the work is shared, and the produce speaks for itself. Today we welcome growers from Little Kimble and beyond - old hands and brand new diggers alike.
Plots are cultivated in a good husband‑like manner; paths are kept clear; bonfires wait for an east wind. The rhythm has barely changed in a hundred years.
Plots are worked by hand and kept weed-free. The track, paths and shared grass are looked after between us all.
Honeybee hives on site help pollinate every plot. Chemicals are discouraged and never near shared water troughs.
No machinery before 10am on a Sunday. Children can play on the top grass area and dogs are welcome on a lead.

Plots come up from time to time. Drop the Secretary a line and we'll let you know when something's available, and walk you round the site.
